Chinese is the official language used in China.
Like English, there are many different dialects in different locations.
The official Chinese dialect is
Mandarin .
There are two types of written Chinese: "Simplified Chinese" and "Traditional Chinese".
They look similar, but "Simplified Chinese" has fewer strokes than "Traditional Chinese",
so, it’s easier to write.
"Simplified Chinese" is used in Mainland China while "Traditional Chinese" is used in Taiwan.
Unlike most western latin-based languages,
Chinese characters originated from
pictograph characters .
It is not possible to tell the pronunciation of a word from the way it is written,
so
"Pinyin" ,
which translates literally to "spelling sound",
was created to help teach standard pronunciation of Mandarin Chinese.
There are over 10000 Chinese characters, but only a few thousand are frequently used.
If you know about 2000 Chinese characters, you be able to live and work in China.
Chinese is not an easy language to learn for many foreigners.
But it’s an useful language in today’s world.

你不能左右天气,但你可以改变心情
你不能改变容貌,但你可以展现笑容
你不能控制他人,但你可以掌握自己
你不能预知明天,但你可以把握今天
你不能样样顺利,但你可以事事尽心
你不能决定生命的长度,但你可以控制它的宽度。
你改变不了环境,但你可以改变自己
你改变不了事实,但你可以改变态度
你改变不了过去,但你可以改变现在。
人生的成功不在于拿到一副好牌,而是怎样将坏牌打好。
